Creation Festival Fall Tour Details
(8/30/2008)Creation Festival: The Tour, the blockbuster event of the Fall, is pleased to announce the dates and cities for its one-of-a-kind traveling experience. Kicking off October 9 in Cincinnati, OH, the tour will make stops in 30-plus cities across the Northeast, Midwest and South and will include an element of local outreach in each city. Tickets go on sale nationwide today through iTickets.com.
Patterned after the Creation Festivals, the nation's largest Christian music festival and the premier name in Christian music events, this "mini Creation on wheels" will be headlined by BEC Recordings band, Kutless, with special guests, Thousand Foot Krutch and Pillar. The line up is rounded out by female-fronted rockers, Fireflight, Run Kid Run and Integrity's Worth Dying For providing a time of praise and worship. KJ-52 will also perform and serve as MC for the night. World-renowned speaker, Bob Lenz, will share the gospel each night, with Pastor Harry Thomas, Creation Festival director and co-founder and Teen Mania's founder, Ron Luce, also joining the tour on select dates. A special "pre-show" will kick off the event, featuring performances by Esterlyn and Capital Lights.
"I think Christian rock needs this tour", explains Rob Beckley, frontman for Pillar. "It is a great effort from Creation to have the guts to put this together. Christian rock needs the tour; one, for the strength of the line up and two, because this generation needs the masses to come together and be encouraged every night through music and leave stronger than they came in. Pillar is excited to be a part of the tour, and I'm excited to see the other bands!"
The goal of Creation Festival: The Tour is to not only provide an exciting evening of great music, but also present an opportunity to impact the local community through outreach. Each city will partner with a local ministry, such as a food bank or clothing drop and attendees are asked to bring a can of food, thick socks or a warm blanket to donate to the cause. Details for the outreach for each date can be found online at www.creationfesttour.com/itstartswithyou.
"The center purpose and mission of what we do at the Creation Festivals and now thru this tour is to give 'Tribute to our Creator,'" says Nick Kulb, executive producer of the Tour. "That simple founding principal from 30 years ago is still in the forefront of our operations and is proving the test of time. This tour is extremely ministry and community active - we are looking forward to seeing thousands of lives changed as they accept Christ in the nightly alter call - we've teamed up with Compassion International and we've also launched the 'It Starts With You' campaign. This tour is so much more than the artists performing nightly; collectively, each of the bands and speakers are heading out on a united front with the Good News of Christ Jesus and to see lives radically changed for Him."

This Beautiful Republic Defies The Sophomore Slump
(8/27/2008)Forefront Records stand-out band This Beautiful Republic has exceeded expectations with its sophomore offering, Perceptions. In addition to winning over critics, the band's latest project has made an impact at radio, currently boasting the No. 9 Christian Rock song, "No Turning Back."
Released Tuesday, Aug. 19, the verdict is already in on This Beautiful Republic's follow up to its successful 2007 debut. And critics are impressed with the band's matured musicianship:
Christian Rock radio echoes this response, as debut single "No Turning Back" sets precedent for future radio success from the album. Only three weeks on the charts, "No Turning Back" has already infiltrated the Top 10, and shows no signs of slowing down. Vice President of National Promotions for EMI CMG Label Group, Grant Hubbard comments, "This is a great start at radio for This Beautiful Republic and its new project. The charts are competitive these days, and we believe this early radio momentum is a good indication of what is to come for the band."
Perceptions is an effort that decidedly goes to the extremes of modern rock and timeless worship. It was produced by Allen Salmon (Mute Math) and comes in the storied wake of This Beautiful Republic's first two years of touring together as a major label act. The band shared stages with headliners Sanctus Real and Family Force 5 among others and traveled overseas for shows in the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden. This fall the band takes to the road on its headlining "No Turning Back" tour. For more information, visit: ThisBeautifulRepublic.com or www.myspace.com/thisbeautifulrepublic

Family Force 5's "Dance Or Die' Debuts At #30 On Billboards Top 200 Albums Chart
(8/27/2008)Headlining "Dance Rawr Dance 2" Club Tour Begins October 6 in Charlotte, NC
Family Force 5's sophomore release, Dance Or Die, released August 19 by Transparent Media Group/EMI, has debuted at # 30 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart and # 8 on the Alternative Rock Chart with first-week sales totaling 12,989. Dance Or Die charged out of the gate with its funky rhythms, contagious club grooves and undeniable hooks. Just off the Vans Warped Tour '08, Family Force 5 will hit the road again in October for a headlining club tour to more than 20 North American cities, including New York, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Detroit and Toronto.
Dance Or Die, the Atlanta-based group's second album, is replete with rippling rhythms, assaulting electronics, raucous rock 'n roll, and an all-encompassing futuristic vibe. From the sci-fi synth textures of "Fever" and the thrash-tinged robotic rocker "Radiator" to its ultra-contagious title track, Dance Or Die has been described as "a musical version of Mad Max meets 2001: A Space Odyssey."
"You don't know it yet, but this is your favorite album of the year" - Absolute Punk, August 2008
After garnering rave reviews on the Vans Warped Tour '08, Family Force 5 looks forward to their headlining "Dance Rawr Dance 2" club tour this fall with Danger Radio and Play Radio Play. The tour begins on October 6 in Raleigh, NC and will continue to more than 20 cities throughout October and into November.
Family Force 5 has built a sizable and loyal fan base by averaging 250 to 300 days on the road each year. In addition to watching the band's members thrashing the stage in self-designed futuristic "spacesuit" fashions, fans at this fall's "Dance Rawr Dance 2" shows will bear witness to the "Family Force 5000," a massive drum machine they personally invented that, at first glance, looks more like the next NASA launch computer than it does a musical instrument.
"It is the only fully-functional giant drum machine in the universe. It's a six-and-a-half-foot tall, 760-pound juggernaut of pads, knobs, and switches that inhales electricity and exhales lightning," says Family Force 5 vocalist and guitarist Solomon "Soul Glow Activatur" Olds. "The Family Force 5000 started as a joke three years ago. Then we mentioned it to a friend, who happens to be a wizard in electronics, and he was able to bring our sci-fi idea to life. The fact that we have a huge, light-up, chunky machine on stage is pretty cool, and it adds to the robotic rock element of this season."
The Dance or Die release is a strategic partnership between the Transparent Media Group founded by the Olds brothers, manager Chris Woltman and producer Joe Baldridge with EMI Music Marketing and Tooth & Nail Records.
Family Force 5 is:
Solomon "Soul Glow Activator" Olds - vocals, guitar
Jacob "Crouton" Olds - drums, vocals
Joshua "Fatty" Olds - bass, vocals
Derek "Chap Stique" Mount - guitar
Nathan "Nadaddy" Currin - keyboards, turntables

Underoath Set To Release Fourth Album 'Lost In The Sound Of Separation'
(8/27/2008)Coming off their gold-certified Define The Great Line disc, UNDERØATH--who've built their career on being both heavy and experimental--return September 2 with the succinct and resolute LOST IN THE SOUND OF SEPARATION, their fourth album on Seattle's Tooth & Nail/Solid State Records.
A diverse musical display coupled with the input of six opinionated souls, LOST IN THE SOUND OF SEPARATION is their most accomplished album to date.
By trusting their instincts, pushing their songcraft to the limit and meticulously perfecting it with Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, Atlanta-based producer/drummer Matt Goldman and the skilled mixing of veteran David Bendeth, UNDEROATH has soared to new artistic heights with LOST IN THE SOUND OF SEPARATION. Catapulting them far beyond their previous works to create a sound that's both epic and intimate, brutal and beautiful, UNDERØATH deliver one highlight after another including "A Fault Line A Fault Of Mine," the melodic reprieve of "Too Bright To See Too Loud To Hear" and "The Created Void," as well as the striking first single "Desperate Times, Desperate Measures." Defying the band's traditional approach, the stunning and uplifting "Too Bright To See, Too Loud To Hear" is a beautiful near-ballad destined to become a fan favorite.
UNDEROATH--lead vocalist SPENCER CHAMBERLAIN, guitarist TIM MCTAGUE, bassist GRANT BRANDELL, drummer AARON GILLESPIE, keyboardist CHRISTOPHER DUDLEY and guitarist JAMES SMITH--whose last three albums count combined sales in excess of one million copies--have worked diligently to reach this creative apex while building one of the biggest metalcore followings in the world.
Meanwhile, Hot Topic has come back on board with UNDERØATH for a chain-wide early listening party. Last Friday, August 22, all 684 Hot Topic stores nationwide played the entire new UNDEROATH album LOST IN THE SOUND OF SEPARATION. During the listening event, fans received 10% off their entire purchase and fans that pre-ordered a copy of the new UNDEROATH CD received a special gift onsite.
UNDERØATH will launch their world tour beginning Saturday, August 30 in Mexico City at the Centro De Convenciones. This show marks the group's first-ever visit to Mexico. On September 2, the day of release of LOST IN THE SOUND OF SEPARATION, UNDEROATH will hold a special in-store signing at the Virgin Megastore in Times Square beginning at 4:00pm (1540 Broadway, New York, NY; 212-921-1020). Later that evening, the band will perform at their CD release party at The Fillmore at Irving Plaza in the city. Following the CD kick off party, the group will launch the U.K. portion of the trek September 6. Tours of Germany, Italy, South Africa and Australia will follow. The band will return to the U.S. for a special show on October 4 at Honolulu's Pipeline Café before launching their major autumn nationwide U.S. tour on October 15 with Saosin, Devil Wears Prada, P.O.S., Person L and Famine supporting. Look for more dates to be announced shortly as UNDEROATH will tour throughout 2008 and 2009.
In other news, the group recently shot a video for "Desperate Times, Desperate Measures" with director Walter Robot (Modest Mouse "Missed the Boat") in Los Angeles. Expect an announcement about the clip's debut soon.

Code of Ethics To Release New Album Lost In Egypt For Free
(8/26/2008)Band's first recording in eight years hits the web Sept. 9th
Christian electronica / pop band Code of Ethics is releasing Lost In Egypt on September 9, 2008 as a free digital download. Lost In Egypt is the first new recording for Code of Ethics in 8 years since their Dove award nominated project Blaze. Soon after their last release, Code of Ethics front man and founder Barry Blaze left for Jacksonville, Florida with his wife Cynthia to lead worship at a North Florida Church. It was in 2004 that Blaze suffered a near fatal motorcycle accident that left him with head trauma and permanent hearing and vision loss. It has since taken four years and multiple surgeries to restore only partial hearing and vision, but inner healing came as he let fear and vulnerability develop his faith into a first hand experience of trusting God with blessing and tragedy. It is the need to share this God Story that has lead Blaze to once again record. "Lost In Egypt is that original electronic /pop sound that CoE has been known for" says Blaze. Only a handful of hardcore, longtime CoE fans would know that the title track was written as part of his very first demo tape. Blaze adds, "I have changed the music but the lyrics have stayed the same. But this song means so much more to me now than when I first wrote it." Lost In Egypt's lead-off track, "Smile," reminds us that no matter what trials or tribulations we may be going through, that we can just smile and have peace for awhile when we rest in God. The idea to first release Lost in Egypt as a free download was an easy one. Blaze states, "God kept laying on my heart to give away what I don't own." And starting September 9th, the 10-song album will be released on the label Razzbarry Records and can be downloaded from the Code of Ethics website for a limited time. When the album give away is over, Lost in Egypt will then be released internationally through Go Global Entertainment.
ABOUT CODE OF ETHICS: Code of Ethics is a Dove Award nominated Christian electronica/pop band. Founder Barry Blaze is currently residing in Jacksonville Florida with his wife Cynthia as a worship leader for Edgewater Church in St. Augustine, FL. ABOUT RAZZBARRY RECORDS Razzbarry Records (Jacksonville Florida) is an independent label founded by Barry Blaze in 2007. Their current roster includes Code of Ethics and Blaze's solo worship venture as Barry Blaze.

Family Force 5 Release Eagerly Anticipated Album 'Dance or Die'
(8/19/2008)There's a delicate balance between the intertwining worlds of artistry, entertainment and humor, but for dance-derived alternative rockers Family Force 5, it's an ecstatic equilibrium that remarkably illustrates all three elements. With tongue firmly planted in cheek, the Atlanta-based five-some are just as likely to get the party started as they are to escort audiences into an alternate reality. The group's sophomore release, Dance Or Die, oozes with over-the-top illustrations, charging out of the gate with funky rhythms, percolating club grooves, undeniably infectious hooks and instantaneous sing-a-longs. Dance Or Die hits the street and internet today on the Transparent Media Group.
"Listening to Family Force 5 is like lighting a cluster of firecrackers in your mouth," offers guitarist Derek Mount (known to fans as Chap Stique), recommending a spin of Dance Or Die over that daredevil antic. "This album provides a connection and an escape, and it's guaranteed to make your booty shake and your head bang. It's greasy, slimy and soupy, yet still very slick and shiny at the same time."

Jacob "Crouton" Olds - drums, vocals
Joshua "Fatty" Olds - bass, vocals
Derek "Chap Stique" Mount - guitar

Known as one of the industries best live bands, Delirious? will keep its commitments through 2009, continuing to inspire music lovers worldwide while carrying on its tradition of spiritually challenging lyrics and pointing people to see the wonders of what God has done for them.
"We are all so deeply grateful to our incredible fans who have sung the songs and allowed Delirious? the privilege of providing the soundtrack to many lives over the years," said the band members collectively. "From the school hall in Littlehampton to the stadiums of the world, we have many stories to tell our children's children. Delirious? also would not be what it is without our amazing wives and families, and our gratitude to them is immense. We will now move forward to the next part of our lives where new challenges unfold and greater stories will be written.
"We want to make it absolutely clear that although this decision has been extremely difficult, we are still great friends and our respect for each other is unquestionable. We love playing in this band together and know that even though 2009 will bring an end to this current journey, there will be more adventures together in years to come."
The decision for the band to take a break from touring and recording was sparked by lead vocalist Martin Smith's request to be released from the band to pursue his work with CompasssionArt www.compassionart.co.uk and to be at home more with his wife, Anna, and his children. After traversing the world for more than a decade, the band honoured this request and made a decision together to end this chapter of their lives.
Delirious? is regarded internationally as the galvanizing force that changed the face of worship worldwide and currently has 14 songs on the CCLI charts, including such international classics as "I Could Sing of Your Love Forever," "Shout To The North," "Did You Feel The Mountains Tremble" and "Majesty."
"For more than 15 years, Delirious? have been one of the most influential and phenomenally popular bands in Christian music," says Soul-Audio.com in a recent story. "With their signature blend of U2-style musicianship and poetic but accessible lyricism [Delirious] are responsible for one of the richest discographies in recent musical achievements."
The band grew out of the UK "Cutting Edge" youth meetings in the early 1990s and was introduced to the American audience with its Gold-selling album, Cutting Edge (1998), sparking the huge radio hit "Deeper" followed by the hit single "Rain Down" from World Service in 2004. Delirious? also sparked seven Top 40 general market UK chart singles and two Top 30 general market UK chart albums.
The success of the songs carried the band around the globe. Over the last decade, Delirious? has closed for the Pope in front of a million people in Germany, played in front of hundreds of thousands in India, headlined the 2004 Olympic Celebrations at the Omonia Square in Athens, Greece, toured with Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams and Matchbox 20, and was a headline performer at SWR3's Arena of Sound 2004 music festival, where more than 80,000 fans filled the Schlossplatz in Stuttgart, Germany.
Having released 14 albums and sold nearly three millions recordings, with its music being played and sold in over 100 countries, the band received its second Gospel Music Association International Award last year. Delirious? travelled to at least 25 countries in 2007 alone, and has travelled this year to Colombia, Brazil, India, Australia, Slovakia, Portugal, Holland, France and UK before coming back to the US for a series of dates that ended August 9 in Hershey, PA.
Recent tours have taken Delirious? to some of the poorest countries on earth where they've faced encounters with life that made poverty personal and forced hard questions to be asked by each member of the band. It sparked a newfound commitment to social justice and compassionate ministry.
Taking their renewed faith, thoughts and questions about these journeys into the studio for its current album, Kingdom of Comfort, the band emerged with an album full of songs that encompass every aspect of highs and lows they faced in their travels.
Kingdom of Comfort is "sonically adventurous" says the Lexington Herald-Leader, as About.com claims "Kingdom Of Comfort makes it easy to see why Delirious? became such a hugely popular group." CCM magazine says, "The group's finest work to date, Kingdom of Comfort represents a band musically in its prime." "Most bands are fortunate to make one landmark record in their careers… with the release of Kingdom of Comfort, they have achieved a rare trifecta," says Soul-Audio.com. "It is here hard rocking, there emotive and always vocally powerful," says CMSpin. "This album is as fiery and robust musically as it is lyrically," echoes CMCentral.com.
Delirious? is lead vocalist Martin Smith, guitarist Stu G, keyboardist Tim Jupp, bassist Jon Thatcher and drummer Paul Evans. Original band member and drummer Stew Smith left the band in May, but remains an integral part of the history of Delirious?.
